Who Is Required to Obtain a Milestone Inspection?

Under Florida law, a Milestone Inspection is required for any building that is:

Three or more habitable stories

30 years old (or 25 years old if within 3 miles of the coastline)

A condominium, cooperative, or multifamily residential building

Failure to complete the inspection by the statutory deadline may result in fines, legal exposure, and enforcement action by the local building official.

What We Inspect — Phase One

Phase One is a visual structural assessment performed by a licensed engineer. ALTEK evaluates all primary structural systems, including:

Load‑bearing walls, columns, beams, and slabs

Vertical and lateral force‑resisting systems

Phase Two — When Required
